CCCApply is implementing as a part of the online application! provides a trusted pathway for students to securely verify their identity in accordance with federal standards. Additionally, specifically provides the same technology used for identity verification and fraud reduction currently used across 37 state agencies and 15 federal agencies, notably:

  • California Employment Development Department
  • U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
  • U.S. Internal Revenue Service
  • U.S. Social Security Administration

Acceptable Documents for Identity Verification:

For us to verify your identity, you must provide two documents:

  1. One Photo Identification
    • For example: State identification (ID) card, Driver license, Permanent Resident Card, or Employment Authorization Document
  2. At least one Other Identity Document
    • For example: Employment record, address verification (Any bill or financial statement showing your name and residence address), or Official birth certificate (with official translation, if any)

Not all students will be able to use

  • No valid identity documentation from the country of origin
  • No permanent address (housing insecure/homeless)
  • No internet access or a smartphone (incarcerated)
  • Minors (under the age of 18)

  • You are solely in control of your own data.
  • You must provide consent before we will share any information.
  • You can see all authorized apps and data elements shared in your My Account portal.
  • You can revoke access to your data for any authorized app at any time.
  • You may destroy your credential and associated data at any time. * provides a secure digital identity network that:

  • Increases access rates to critical services in government and the private sector.
  • Empowers individuals to control their own data to streamline access, eliminating the need to create multiple passwords and share credentials frequently.
  • Voluntarily upholds leading privacy rights, such as those mandated by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
  • Is certified against the leading Federal standards including compliance with NIST 800-63-3 and FedRAMP Moderate ATO.
  • Is interoperable with leading industry standards.
