Important Notices about Cross Enrollment – Please read thoroughly:

  • Cross-enrollment at CSUs and UCs is available through their extension services, but participation isn’t guaranteed. Check with the university beforehand.
  • There are no additional tuition or enrollment fees, but the host campus may charge an administration fee per term.
  • Additional fees for materials or labs at the host campus are your responsibility.
  • Students may enroll in only one course per semester through cross-enrollment to benefit from reduced rates.
  • Seek academic advisement from the Fullerton College Counseling Center or Transfer Center before enrolling to ensure the class aligns with your educational goals and is transferable.
  • Cross-enrollment students must request to be added to CSU/UC classes, as they’re not officially admitted. Have alternative course options in mind.
  • Provide proof of completion for prerequisite courses to the CSU/UC via transcripts or test scores (AP, IB).
  • Some UC campuses differentiate between extension and day campus courses. Confirm course suitability for major/degree requirements with a UC representative at the extension service.
  • Credits earned through cross-enrollment may not be recognized universally. Consider enrolling at your intended transfer university.
  • To include cross-enrollment credits in your degree or transfer evaluation, send an official transcript to the Fullerton College Office of Admissions and Records after completing coursework at the host campus.

Senate Bill 1914 Postsecondary Education: Cross Enrollment Program legislation (California Education Code 66750 through 66756) permits undergraduate students enrolled in any campus of the California Community Colleges, the California State University, or the University of California to enroll without formal admission in a maximum of one (1) course per academic term at a campus of either of the other systems on a space-available basis. Participation by college is voluntary and both schools must be participating in this program before a student can take a course at another institution for a discounted fee plus any material or lab fees.
