More Reasons Why

Qualify for Buzzy Bookstore Bucks

Receive a $100 credit for textbooks at the Fullerton College Bookstore through the Buzzy Bookstore Bucks program. To qualify for the Fall 2024 semester, you must enroll in nine or more credits for the semester. Textbooks must be purchased using the credit before October 25, 2024.

To retain the $100 credit, you are required to maintain enrollment in at least nine units throughout the semester. If you drop below nine units before November 17, 2024, which is the last day to withdraw from semester-length classes, you may be required to repay the $100 credit.

Finish your degree or certificate faster!

Adding an extra class can allow you to complete your degree requirements more quickly. This is especially beneficial if you’re looking to graduate earlier or if you have a time-sensitive goal.

Cost Savings
Taking more classes per semester might reduce the overall cost of your education since tuition is often charged on a per-semester or per-credit basis. Graduating earlier can also mean entering the workforce sooner.
Depth of Knowledge
Taking additional classes can provide a deeper understanding of your major or allow you to explore related subjects more thoroughly.
Exposure to Different Teaching Styles
Each professor has a unique teaching style. Taking more classes exposes you to a variety of teaching approaches, allowing you to adapt to different learning environments.
Flexibility in Scheduling
By completing more classes in a given semester, you might create more flexibility in your future schedule. This could be advantageous if you plan to participate in internships, study abroad programs, or other extracurricular activities.
Financial Aid Options

Exploring various financial aid options is crucial for full-time students to ease the financial strain of tuition and other educational costs. For instance, if you’re eligible for the Cal Grant as part of your financial aid package, you can further enhance your support through the Student Success Completion Grant by simply enrolling in 12 units for the spring semester. Additionally, opting for 15 units could result in an even higher award amount, providing additional financial assistance.

Be sure to enroll before the add deadline for full-term courses and the Financial Aid Office will take care of the rest!

Increased Skill Development
Additional courses can help you acquire new skills and competencies that might be beneficial in your future career. This can make you a more well-rounded and competitive candidate in the job market.
Improve registration date and time

Registration time is based on the number of units you complete.  The more units you complete the better date and time you get!

Exploration of Interests
Adding a class outside of your major requirements allows you to explore other areas of interest. This can be particularly valuable if you’re considering a minor or a double major.
Networking Opportunities
More classes mean more opportunities to meet and connect with professors and classmates. Networking can be crucial for future career opportunities.
Faster Completion of Prerequisites
Adding another class can help you complete prerequisite courses sooner, allowing you to access more advanced courses earlier in your academic journey.
