Academic Support Programs
Academic Support Center
The Academic Support Center (ASC) provides free services to ALL Fullerton College students and staff to help them achieve academic success. The Center is comprised of three related areas: the Skills Center, the Tutoring Center, and the Writing Center.
Honors Program
The Honors Program offers a variety of courses that fulfill the general education requirements of most majors. You will interact with students from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Honors courses are innovative classes that encourage all participants to explore the ideas, the people, and the writings that give shape to our world.
Assessment
Mail or hand deliver a copy of your high school and/or college transcripts to the Fullerton College Assessment Center to determine English or English as a Second Language (ESL), reading and math course placement.
Students who have already completed English and/or Math coursework at another regionally accredited college may be cleared for English or Math courses and for courses with English and math prerequisites.
Library
The mission of the library is to assist students, faculty, and staff in attaining their educational and informational goals in a supportive library environment by offering a combination of innovative and traditional library services.
Online & Hybrid Courses
The mission of the Distance Education Department is to support the success of Fullerton College students who use educational technology in face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses.
Fullerton College uses Canvas to facilitate online and hybrid courses.
STEM
STEM at Fullerton College is comprised of our Natural Sciences, Mathematics/Computer Science, and Counseling Departments' support for you in any major/career path that is related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
MESA: Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement
MESA is an academic support program for educationally disadvantaged students pursuing degrees in mathematics, engineering, science, and technology fields. Provides tutoring, study groups, transfer assistance, and a supportive community for STEM majors.
Teacher Pathway Program
The Teacher Pathway Program supports students interested in becoming K-12 teachers. Provides guidance on coursework, transfer requirements, classroom observations, and connections to teaching credential programs at four-year universities.
Administration of Justice Pathway Program
The AJ Pathway Program supports students pursuing careers in criminal justice, law enforcement, corrections, and related fields. Offers specialized advising, career guidance, and connections to transfer programs and career opportunities.
Study Abroad
Explore the world while earning college credits! Study Abroad offers opportunities to take classes internationally, experience new cultures, develop global perspectives, and build skills that employers value. Programs available for various destinations and academic interests.
Equity & Student Support Programs
EOPS: Extended Opportunity Program and Services
The Extended Opportunity Program & Services (EOPS) is dedicated to recruit and successfully retain college students of educationally and socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds.
The primary purpose of the EOPS program is to prepare students to transfer to a four-year university, complete an Associate's Degree or earn a vocational certificate in order to acquire desirable career-related skills to obtain rewarding employment as a result of their educational experience.
CARE: Cooperative Agencies and Resources for Education
CARE was established by the State of California in 1982 as a supplemental component of EOPS to provide support services and activities for the single, head of household student, who also receives CalWORKs/TANF funds as income assistance.
This program was designed to promote self-sufficiency through education, training and student support services.
CalWORKs
The Fullerton College CalWORKs Program is designed to promote self-sufficiency through education and employment.
If you are currently receiving CalWORKs/GAIN (otherwise known as welfare or cash aid) for both yourself and your children, you may be eligible for our program.
Foster Youth Success Initiative
The Foster Youth Success Initiative (FYSI) Program is committed to supporting ambitious, college-bound students exiting the foster care system. Fullerton College created a support network for our current and former foster youth that includes many of our student support services and programs on campus and that extends to local agencies in the community that deliver services and aid to foster youth students.
Puente
The Puente Program is an academic, counseling and mentoring program that has improved college persistence and success rates for thousands of California's educationally under-served students.
The Puente mission is to increase the number of community college students who:
- Transfer and enroll in four-year colleges and universities
- Earn college degrees
- Return to the community as mentors and leaders
Umoja Community Program
The Umoja Program is designed to provide essential educational support and services to increase the academic success, retention, degree completion, and transfer rates of African-American and other students enrolled at Fullerton College.
We accomplish this through monthly workshops, academic counseling, and mentoring. Our aim is to develop a sense of "community" among African-American students, other students, faculty, staff and administrators.
A2MEND: African American Male Education Network & Development
A2MEND is dedicated to the educational development and success of African American males. The program provides mentoring, academic support, and community building to help students achieve their educational goals and become leaders in their communities.
Men of Color Action Network (MOCAN)
Opening Spring 2026! MOCAN will provide support, resources, and community for men of color at Fullerton College, focusing on academic success, leadership development, and creating a supportive network.
APIDA Resource Center
The APIDA Amplified Program provides support and resources for Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American students. The center offers a welcoming space for community building, cultural events, and academic support services tailored to APIDA student needs.
LGBTQIA2S+ Resource Program
The LGBTQIA2S+ Resource Program provides a safe and supportive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, two-spirit, and all sexual and gender minority students. Offers resources, community, and advocacy.
Grads to Be (Undocumented Student Support)
Grads to Be provides comprehensive support for undocumented students, including DACA recipients and AB540 eligible students. Services include academic counseling, financial aid guidance, legal resources, and a supportive community.
Rising Scholars
Rising Scholars supports formerly incarcerated and justice-involved students in their educational journey. The program provides specialized counseling, peer support, resource navigation, and a welcoming community for students with criminal justice backgrounds.
Promise Program & First Year Support
The Promise Program provides two years of FREE tuition and health fees for eligible first-time college students! Includes dedicated support, priority registration, and guidance to help you succeed in your first years at Fullerton College.
Disability Support Services
The Disability Support Services (DSS) office at Fullerton College advocates the integration of qualified students with disabilities into the mainstream of Fullerton College's programs and services.
DSS is committed to the provision of support services and/or educational accommodations to qualified students with disabilities. This provision ensures access and equal opportunity so students with disabilities may pursue their educational goals.
Re-Entry Student Program
Re-entry Connect is a campus program designed for re-entry and/or non-traditional students. Our goal is to guide, connect, and offer support for the greatest possible academic success.
We understand the specific and unique challenges our adult learners face and believe our services are tailored to meet your needs.
Basic Needs & Financial Support
Food Bank
The mission of the FC Chris Lamm & Toni DuBois-Walker Memorial Food Bank is to foster a healthy college community by providing nutritious food to students and their families who are in need. We hope to alleviate hunger and provide access to quality and nutritious food.
The FC Food Bank serves all Fullerton College students in need, but you must be enrolled in at least 3 units. Students are required to show a student ID or State Issued ID with a recent "Class Schedule/Bill".
Located in Student Support Center (SSC), Room 102.
Financial Aid
The mission of the Financial Aid Department is to provide information and financial aid support to all eligible students attending Fullerton College.
Whatever the student's major or career goal, Financial Aid helps students know more about Financial Aid and the application process at Fullerton College.
Their motto is "Financial Aid and You: Working Together for Student Success."
Bookstore
Offering all of the materials needed for Fullerton College students to succeed in their education, the Bookstore is located in the Student Services Building (2000) facing Chapman Avenue.
A complete selection of the textbooks and course materials required or recommended by faculty is arranged in easy-to-locate fashion by department, course numbers and CRN.
In addition, extensive classroom and office supplies, study aids, college clothing, giftware, small electronics, books, and snacks are available in the store.
Hornets Resource Center (HRC)
The Hornets Resource Center is your one-stop-shop for basic needs support! Get help navigating resources for food insecurity, housing support, emergency assistance, technology access, and connecting to community resources.
Career Closet - The Hanger
Need professional clothing for interviews, internships, or your first job? The Hanger provides FREE professional attire to help you dress for success!
Health & Wellness Programs
Health Center
The Fullerton College Student Health Services is designed to assist students in maintaining and improving their physical and mental health. The Health Center, located in the Student Support Center (SSC) Room 108, provides a variety of health services. Currently enrolled full and part time Fullerton College students are eligible to use these services.
Mindful Growth Initiative
To foster well-being, the Mindful Growth Initiative offers mindfulness, compassion, and mindset practices and activities for the Fullerton College community. We welcome your participation in the Initiative, including the following:
- Mindfulness Student Club
- Canvas Workshops in Mindfulness, Self-Compassion, and Mindfulness and Healing for Race-Based Stress and Trauma (all free of charge)
- Growth Mindset, Mindfulness, and Purpose/Belonging Student Workshops
- Academic Courses: MIND 101 and MIND 105
Behavioral Health Services
Behavioral Health Services provides mental health counseling and support to help students navigate personal challenges, stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. Services are confidential and available to all enrolled students.
Submit a Concerning Behavior Report or Student Self-Referral for support.
Career & Transfer Programs
Counseling
The Fullerton College Counseling Department provides student-centered counseling services to support the achievement and growth of our diverse student population with the intent of helping students develop their highest potential, fulfill their goals and promote life-long success.
Career + Life Planning
The CLP Center's mission is to help you plan your future. They help you choose your major and career with self-assessments, workshops, career classes and more.
Transfer Center
The Transfer Center is a dynamic campus resource available to help Fullerton College students stay motivated, excited, and prepared to transfer to a four-year university. There are many steps to transfer, from college exploration to college selection, major exploration to major preparation, not to mention the entire application process. The center provides services to help students explore, prepare, and succeed in their transfer plans.
Community & Cultural Programs
Cadena Cultural Center
The Campus Cultural Center serves as a network "cadena"; connecting students, faculty and staff with each other to celebrate our diverse backgrounds, engage in meaningful dialogue about diversity, and access support services. They strive to foster a sense of belonging and promote student success.
The entire campus community is invited to collaborate and participate in the Center activities and services, including:
- Cultural celebrations
- Tours to local museums and cultural sites
- Guest speakers and seminars
- Student forums and conversation circles
- Library of films and documentaries
- Worldfest
International Student Center
The International Student Center (ISC) provides services for international students who are studying or would like to study on the F-1 and F-2 visa.
We enroll approximately 300 students who come from over 40 different countries. International students at Fullerton College enjoy their own on-campus center and a full-time staff dedicated to their academic success and personal needs. While providing F-1/F-2 visa advising, academic counseling, support services, and student activities, the ISC offers insight to students on how to succeed, adjust, and make the most of their time in southern California.
Associated Students
The Associated Students (A.S.) represents all Fullerton College students in our shared governance model. This means that students have a voice on every level, ranging from campus committees to District workgroups where issues are discussed and policies created.
A.S. is also responsible for campus events and partners with different departments and organizations to enhance student life.
Athletics
Fullerton College has fielded athletic teams since the founding of the College in 1913 and since that time has developed an overall sports and intercollegiate athletic program with 21 teams that rank with the very best in nationwide community college circles.
The caliber of coaching, the quality of uniforms and equipment, the training and medical facilities, and the opportunity to play against good competition are superior. Every year, scores of Fullerton College graduates are offered scholarships to complete their education and athletic careers at four-year colleges and universities throughout the country.
Military & Veterans Services
The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) aids students in accessing their VA Education benefits, and the timely certifying of those benefits. The VRC also helps students find veteran-related resources, and provides academic support opportunities.
ESL: English as a Second Language
The English as a Second Language Department or ESL is a program designed for students whose first language is not English. The program offers college level credit classes that prepare students for their academic, career, or other personal goals.
ESL professors have specialized training and experience to help students develop English skills with second language acquisition strategies in listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
Child Development Laboratory School
The Child Development and Educational Studies Laboratory School has been in continual operation since 1959 and is an important component of the Child Development and Educational Studies Department and Social Sciences Division.
The Lab not only provides a quality educational environment for pre-school aged children and their families, it also serves as a training and demonstration school for students interested in the fields of Child Development and Early Childhood Education.
The Lab School is open year round, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am-6:00 pm, but is closed for specific campus holidays. All children in attendance receive a nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.

Student Life & Leadership helps you get involved on campus! Discover student clubs, leadership opportunities, campus events, and activities. Develop leadership skills, meet new people, and make the most of your college experience.
Dual Enrollment
High school students can get a head start on college! Dual Enrollment allows you to take Fullerton College courses while still in high school and earn both high school and college credit. FREE for eligible students through CCAP partnerships.

Guided Pathways is a framework designed to help you clarify your goals, choose a program of study, stay on track, and ensure you're learning. Get structured guidance from enrollment through completion to achieve your educational goals efficiently.
