Student Accounts & Systems
myGateway is your online student portal for everything! Use it to:
- Register for classes
- Pay fees
- Check your registration date
- View holds
- Access financial aid information
Your Banner ID (also called Student ID) is an 8-digit number assigned when you're admitted. You'll receive it via email within 7 business days.
Forgot your ID? Go to myGateway and click "forgot username" to retrieve it using your email and date of birth.
Campus ID Card production is located at the Admissions & Records Office. A student ID card is necessary for access to the library, computer labs, and other support services. You must be enrolled in at least one course to obtain a student ID card.
Note: This is different from your Banner ID number - this is your physical card!

Required Fees (Winter/Spring 2026):
- Enrollment Fee: $46 per unit
- Health Fee: $27 per term
- Transportation Fee: $5.75 for 12+ units, $5.00 for less than 12 units (includes free bus pass!)
- Course Fees: Vary by class (see class schedule)
Fee Waivers: Enrollment fees are waived for CCPG (formerly BOGG) recipients and Special Admit Students (grades 9-12).
Non-Resident Tuition: $392 per unit PLUS enrollment fees (includes $5 Capital Outlay fee)

- No interest or finance charges
- No credit check required
- Flexible payment schedules (2-4 monthly payments depending on when you sign up)
- $25 one-time setup fee
- Prevents/removes unpaid balance holds

Key Points:
- Refunds mailed by check approximately 6-8 weeks after term begins
- $10 processing fee per term (waived for fee waiver recipients, canceled classes, or administrative drops)
- Credit card payments NOT credited back to account
The Office of Admissions & Records determines the residency status of all new and returning students based on the information provided on the submitted application.
Why it matters: Non-resident students pay an additional $392 per unit plus regular enrollment fees. This can significantly impact your costs!

Prerequisites are courses or preparation levels you must complete before enrolling in certain classes. If you completed prerequisites at Fullerton or Cypress College, they clear automatically. If completed elsewhere, contact the counseling office.
